Its been tough to get into the design without having proper knowledge or having any skill related to it. But some of the things that helped me to get into the design may help you too who is really desperate and excited to get into the design world.
- TAKE BABY STEPS: Before getting into design one must understand what really design is. It's as easy as understanding any language but one must have a proper understanding of all alphabets so that words can be formed easily and more precisely. Having a proper understanding of grammer help one to form meaningful sentences. In the same way, art is understood and approached. Follow some artist copy their art just for improvement and make daily progress in it. Don't think how big the progress is, progress is progress doesn’t matter how big or small it is.
- MINDSET: Social media encourage one to pursue various art styles but because of that “beginners” start to keep high expectations with less skills and poor knowledge in particular art style. Because of high expectations with less knowledge, it makes one demotivate and things get tougher there. One must keep in mind that while studying and getting into the design to have fewer expectations so that every time there is more understanding about design and there is positive progress. It is similar when one tries to write a poem. There are many simple poems written but due to that one good poem comes up, which helps to write a good poem in, more consistent manner till then there a strong and understanding command of the language, which again helps to give one of the best poems of all time. Similar is getting into the design. We must observe to understand art
- QUESTION DESIGN: Start to ask questions, why it is designed in a particular way. Ask why questions, help one to focus on details where one understand design in a more detailed manner. Ask why it presented in such a way, ask why it is so, how it is done. Help one to observe more and from all perspectives.
- KEEP CHALLENGING: Try to make progress on a single-day basis. Try to make changes in your art, experiment with your art with your design. Take a 100-day drawing challenge. Have some friendly competitions where you make yourself better but at the same time, you should also know what mistakes you have done. Challenge yourself, try to push your limits. Try different things. Take some leap cause every artist do the mistake but knowing which mistake to keep what is called understanding art.
Last but not least, it's not important or necessary to have the best of your tools at the beginning. Your creativity can show up anywhere at any time. Just be patient and time will help you to shape your art as you expected but one must be honestly consistent with whatever art style you choose. Just keep faith in yourself.
